About Us

We are a private independent Nursery offering excellent quality care for children aged 2-5 years old.

We have been established since 1988 and now have premises purpose built to our own design in the grounds of Woolenwick School, Stevenage.

We are committed to ensuring that your child receives the best in pre-school education. We have a policy of constant staff training and all staff attend courses on a regular basis. Our staff to pupil ratio is, and has always been, above the legal requirement.

We take part in Government Funding for Nursery places.

In our last Ofsted Report conducted on 15th December 2009 the inspection report stated that 'Overall the quality of the provision is satisfactory.' A section of the report is quoted below:

'Overall the quality of the provision is satisfactory and meets the needs of the children in the Early Years Foundation Stage appropriately. Good team work and good links with parents ensure that all children are included, settled and well cared for. As a result, the children want to attend and enjoy learning. Children make good progress in their social development. Sound leadership provides the nursery with satisfactory capacity for further improvement.'

We operate two rooms. Children from the age of 2 are welcomed into the Squirrels Room and progress into the Owls Room as their social and other skills develop.

All our activities are aimed at educating the children, while they are having fun and enjoying themselves.  A child will learn when he or she wants to learn, we are here to encourage and support them. To help them learn new skills, to explore their surroundings, to communicate their feelings and ideas to each other and to us.

We aim to give them a healthy, happy approach to school life.
